• You will be welcomed to a resident home area (RHA) and room according to availability, and your care requirements.
• All rooms are single occupancy.
• 76 rooms share a two-piece bathroom between two bedrooms. There are 116 rooms with private bathrooms.
• All the bedrooms and washrooms have vinyl flooring for added ease of cleaning and use of mechanical lifts.
• Four of the six Resident Home Areas are female only and the other two are co-ed.
• There is one all female secure home area at the Manor. This is the Creekside RHA. Residents who tend to wander or have varying degrees of confusion are best accommodated in this wing. Confused and wandering residents are supervised by staff when they leave this area.
  

Common Areas

• We have a beautifully decorated large Celebration Room equipped with a large screen TV, VCR, stereo and fireplace.
• We also have smaller, but spacious activity rooms on each Resident Home Area. Adjacent to the activity rooms are quiet dens for watching T.V. or quiet contemplation.
• There is a family dining room on the Ground Floor that is available for families to have small gatherings. All of these rooms are available for use by you and your families at any time.
• Main Floor Café with vending machines for 24 hour snacks and beverages
• Fireplace with library for relaxing
• Aquarium with bright and colourful fish
• Sitting areas are located in various locations throughout the home areas. These areas are a place to gather or a destination point.
• There are ADL Kitchenettes located in each of the RHA's dining room. These are open for residents and families to make light refreshments.

Moving is a major change in anyone's life. The move from a private home to communal living is especially significant. Please give yourself plenty of time to gradually adjust to this new lifestyle. You will meet and get to know staff and other residents, and soon your surroundings will not seem strange. Everyone adapts at different rates.
