 Services and Programs
Recreation Services
Idlewyld Manor employs qualified recreation staff to plan and organize many special events and activities for you. These programs are therapeutically designed to meet your social, intellectual, physical, spiritual, and emotional needs. Your participation is welcome in whatever programs appeal to you, no matter what your ability level.
A newsletter and calendar of programs is distributed to each resident at the beginning of each month to keep everyone aware of upcoming programs and special events.
Some examples of events and activities include, but are not limited to:
- Music programs including sing alongs, hymn sings and concerts
- Daily exercises in the lounge
- Church services in the chapel (various denominations during the week and on weekends)
- Monthly birthday parties and special seasonal or holiday parties
- Travelogues, summer barbeques and outdoor concerts
- Special trips, outings and lunches out in the community
- Library Services provided by the Hamilton Public Library
- Pet therapy provided by St. John’s Ambulance and the SPCA
